Are you going through a time in your life when you emotions feel overwhelming? Are you lacking clarity about your true self? Do you tell yourself that you are doing the best you can, but wonder why you don't feel as good as you'd like to? Do you want to feel more like yourself, feel more connected to others and function better? Often times we have unmet emotional needs we are not even aware of, that pile up and negatively impact many areas of our lives: self-esteem, relationships, communication, academic/work performance, sports performance, parenting, etc.
I have a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. My areas of special interest/expertise include: women's issues, relationship/family issues, sport psychology, multicultural issues (including LGBTQ), eating disorders, body image issues and grief/loss. I particularly enjoy helping clients learn to identify an authentic sense of self.
I believe in working collaboratively with clients, being patient, using humor when appropriate, and being open and honest with feedback. If you or your child are ages 14+ and want to: manage your emotions better, identify your authentic sense of self, or change the power you give destructive history, patterns or behavior, please email me. I look forward to hearing from you.
